BUILDING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT

PLANNING DEPARTMENT (LINK HERE)

The Planning Division is responsible for both current and long-term planning functions. Functions include land use and development applications which includes processing requests for discretionary actions (land divisions, rezones, general plan amendments, conditional use permits, variances, annexations, etc.) which require approval by the Planning Commission and/or City Council, and ministerial items such as second dwelling units and pre-application review.

This is where you will apply for a temporary dwelling permit.

BUILDING DEPARTMENT (LINK HERE)

The Building Division is responsible for activities related to the construction, remodeling, and demolition of buildings and structures. By reviewing building permit applications, issuing building and related permits, checking plans, and inspecting buildings and properties to ensure compliance with applicable codes and ordinances.
