Insurance rates are rising along with our temperatures. This can lead to the abandonment of properties or difficulty with resale that may be excessively discriminatory.  This is becoming a HUGE conversation in Paradise right now and all up and down the Sierra mountain range.

I will publish information soon about local groups engaging in the conversations about obtaining on-going coverage and under-insurance, which is a big issue for families like this one.

  1. Take a look at actions suggested by “Insure Our Future” by CLICKING HERE.

Whether you are at risk of losing your insurance or wish to use your consumer dollars to chose your insurer, we recommend knowing the companies worth standing behind, like CHUBB who just changed their policies.   — You should avoid the Hartfford (shred your AAARP card  because they are their underwriter) as if your life depended on it, because it could.  They almost killed me.  Not exaggerating.  I don’t know anyone that had a good experience with them.  They are a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
